After completion of the Automatic install and the reboot, I get a black screen. I think I get a blinking cursor. I even tried a manual install, but the same result.
I have read many postings about Nvidia drivers. So, with the automatic install files on my hda, I booted my system from the cdrom. Then, I tried installing the nvidia drivers (wget) instructed from the FAQs, but not sure if they installed properly, because after rebooting I get the same black screen. I am lost with this one. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

After installing, did you:
<CTRL><ALT><F1>
install-nvidia.sh

I'm trying to remember because I am not at home, but I believe it automatically rebooted. To clarify, the install rebooted itself. Then, I changed the boot device to IDE-0 in the bios. Afterwards, it comes up with the black screen.

To answer your question, yes. I did the CTRL-ALT-F1 and tried installing the driver. It did have a copy error, device full. I believe it was trying to copy to the cdrom, because the only way I could get the command prompt was via the gui install (off the cd). I changed the prompt to HOME and tried the install, but I got some other errors that I can remember at this time.
