| Post subject: | Setting up Knoppmyth to use Gnome |
Although im still struggling with setting up some other basic areas of KnoppMyth (Remote, TV Guide, Tv Tuner) I would like to get gnome on there as I want to be able to use the machine for some other type of work when i need to. Ive done an apt-get install gnome and that all seems to have worked.. but how do i now set it up so that Gnome is an option to login with? Also - since installing gnome GDM now shows on startup (mythtv is not automatically logged in). Is there a way to change this back? Thanks. Adam. |

If you want to do other work you should probably install another distro (Like mandrake or redhat or debian) and then install mythtv on top of that. knoppmyth was designed more for a standalone box that only did myth stuff. |
