hi, just downloaded the lastest version of knoppmyth. installing on an amd 1800, hauppage 250, geforce 5200, sblive machine. at boot the install menu is split into four screens. way whacked and impossible to work with. have you seen anything like this? thanks, k |

that is very odd and I haven't seen it, but are you installing using a monitor or just tv? |

ok....knoppmyth doesn't like my monitor. hhmmm..... now got it installed (using a diff monitor) but after rebooting it runs through its setup procedure, then...... i get a blank screen. nothing. clues? |

Search the forum, search the MythTV docs. Saying "getting a blank search" isn't much to go on.... |

I am thinking that maybe in you XF86Config-4 file, under the Monitor Section, it is set to only display to a TV. Check for lines similar to these: Option "TVStandard" "NTSC-M" Option "ConnectedMonitor" "TV" Option "TVOutFormat" "SVIDEO" That may be why you get a blank screen. Also, try to hook it up to you TV and see if anything comes on the screen. |
