I am not sure what to use for the video and audio device settings for my dual PVR250 box. What should I configure for /dev/video etc.? I have tried a few things but cannot get sound to work on both cards.

I totally love KnoppMyth and am a huge evangelist. Thanks for all your hard work.

test_ioctl by default only addresses /dev/video0. You probably have to do:test_ioctl -y mute=0 and test_ioctl -C /dev/video1 -y mute=0. Sorry, I'm not in front of my box at the moment, so you have to double check the -C.

Thanks.

The syntax for working with a device other than /dev/video0 is:

-d, --device=<dev> Use device <dev> instead of /dev/video0

You can see this and lots else by just typing test_ioctl

After lots of wailing and gnashing with /dev settings in mythtvsetup, I have found the right settings for my dual-PVR250 box as well as the key to getting sound running on both.

I am using /dev/video and /dev/video1 as my capture device names in setup.

The line:

test_ioctl -y mute=0

did the trick for me on the sound.
