Just finished installing (new) R5E50 of KnoppMyth on a single SATA system.

Everything seemed to go well.

Rebooted the system and it comes up with this:

GDM could not write to your authorization file. This could mean that you're out of disk space or that your home directory could not be opened for writing. In any case it is not possible to log in. Please contact your system administrator.

I hit OK (my only choice).

I get an X session that says user mythtv will login in 30 seconds but it also has a box where I can type a username/password.

If I type in the one that I created during installation, it gives me the same error. If I type in "mythtv" (I believe the "default username" that the installation also asked me to type in the password for), that doesn't work either.

????

GDM isn't included in R5E50.

Ah, right you are. Stupid me used a link to the R5E50 off of the main site and apparently that links you to the R5D1 code.

So I guess when it says R5E50, it's not really that.

So I guess I'll go hunt around for it.

Thanks, Cecil.

I got the RIGHT version this time and it works MUCH better.

Sorry about that, I just figured that when the mirror link said it was for R5E50 that that's what I was downloading. I should've paid closer attention.

Anyway thanks again for the help!
