Hi,

I've gotten everything running fairly well now with R5F1, except for the DataDirect.

I've created an account on labs.zap2it.com. I put the user name and password into the setup screen and press "download lineup" and the progress bar freezes at 50%.

When I go to use mythfilldatabase, it downloads the first 3678 bytes of the file almost instantly, and then just hangs.

Any clues? I've been searching the forums for the past hour and can't find anyone who's had this problem in the past.

Thanks,

Brian

Some details of your setup would be nice - Specifically your hardware configuration.

Did you scan for channels when you shouldn't have? See http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=14584

Slow,

Sorry, last night I was assuming that it was probably a mythtv configuration error. More investigation this morning makes me think that you're right -- it might be more hardware related.

I'm running an Asus M2NPV-VM with an AMD 3800+ x2, and 1 GB of RAM.

1) I re-created the wget on a terminal window, sending the output to a local file and got the same results. When I try to gunzip the file, it complains about an unexpected end-of-file

2) I did a wget of www.google.com, and everything worked well, downloaded TONS of files. BUT, do a wget of www.dilbert.com, the download hung at 72% -- a very similar symptom!

I did a quick google and didn't immediately see people bitching about the network drivers for this board. And, although I've spent a long time working in Windows and Solaris, my Linux experience isn't huge. Any help you could offer would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks,

Brian

Slow,

Just a quick update -- I followed your links and tried the tcp_window_scaling think since I've got Linksys network gear.

It solved the problem!

Thanks for your help, that's just fantastic!
