| Post subject: | Problem in Installing KnoppMyth |
I want to set up a linux box using KnoppMyth. I have downloaded the mirror image of KnoppMyth from internet and burned the iso image of it into a CD. Also I have set my machine to boot from CD, but when I am trying to install KnoppMyth it is saying that "No Knoppix filesystem found " and drops into a very limited shell. I am using suse linux. Please help me in this... How can you be using suse if you're using knoppmyth??? Assuming this means you were at one time using suse, are you using an Intel motherboard? Mike |

Did you check the integrity of your iso or the media after you burned it? |

Are you looking to install Knoppmyth, replacing your exisitng Suse Linux? Or are you looking to integrate MythTV into your existing Suse Linux? |

Hardware specs
Video card/chipset make/model CD/DVD and disk drive(s) type (PATA, SATA, other) and how they are configured Answering any of the previous questions posted by others in response to your original request. And which version of KnoppMyth are you trying to install? |

The Architecture I am using is i386 ...model name VIA Samuel 2 and the device is HITACHI_DK23DA-20, the Card used is Trident CyberBlade/i1, the Monitor used is VESA 1280X1024@60Hz. I do not want to inetgrate it with suse linux. I want only KnoppMyth running on my system and the KnoppMyth version I am trying to install is R5F27, I had dowmloaded the mirror image from the site, but while installing it is giving Knoppix filesystem not found. ________ Nevada marijuana dispensaries |

hey guys I have changed the h/w of the system n now successfully installed KnoppMyth. But, now the problem I am facing is about firefox. I have downloaded the tar file of latest firefox extracted files from it but while executing the file it is saying cannot open display. I tried using frontend but did not found option for webbrowser. Hi, apt-get install firefox when done, do alt x for a new xterm and enter firefox at the prompt. the display is running for mythtv and not for root. Mike |

search the knoppmyth wiki for firefox. it will provide directions to set firefox as the default web browser in the mythtv frontend. if you want to add a button to one of the menus, search the forum for adding helpful menu buttons .. if you want to add a fluxbox hotkey.. search the forum for that. |
