Clean install and encountered (another) problem that I have never encountered before. 1. Blue screen comes up saying "select default mythbackend server". The list has one item, "DO NOT CONNECT TO BACKEND SERVER". If I click "search" nothing happens. If I click ok... 2. I get the background for the default theme with a prompt: "Warning: mythtv wants to upgrade database scheme from 1160 to 1200. I can choose "upgrade" or "exit"... either way it crashes and leaves me on the X desktop. So basically I've processed all the installation steps but cannot get as far as mythtv-setuo checking the logs it says: Code: mythtv could not connect to socket

I've tried opening up an xterm window.... 1. If i do "mythtv-setup"... it goes straight to the prompt about "upgrade DB"... then crashes as above. The log just shows "segmentation fault". 2. If I do "mythfrontend".... I get the "select default backend server" as per 1st post above. |
