| Post subject: | Install from USB CD drive? |
The last piece for my new box just arrived: (a slim optical drive). Unfortunately, I forgot to order an IDE adapter for the drive, so all I have is the USB adapter that it came with. Is there any point in trying to install from a USB-attached CD drive (which I assume will show up as /dev/sr0)? Or should forget it and order an IDE adapter? |

Wow...looks like I haven't been here in a while! Noticed no one responded to your post yet, Grant. I use a USB CD-ROM on may main Myth box, and can install from it just fine. Done it a couple of times. |
