Hello All,
I have just done a fresh install of Knoppmyth R5.5. I did have a working R5F27 but upgraded to a larger hard drive so I decided to do a fresh install. The only changes I have made to the auto R5.5 install is to install Shepherd which is a great tv_grab_au scrapper. It does require me to install some perl modules. Apart from this it is a stock standard install.

All has worked pretty good so far apart from trying to get the Myth2ipod to work. The following is a grab of the output when I try to run myth2ipod in a terminal window.

mythtv@mythtv:/usr/local/bin$ myth2ipod -cut /myth/tv/ 10009_20080809215224.mpg

I have done a few searches on the different forums and have not found anything that helps. When I run an ipod encode it finishes in a matter of a minute. When I ran the command in a terminal window I saw an error about not finding the chanid at a specified time. ????

I did find this - http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/m ... ers/310931 - but this really does not make a lot of sense as I have not really changed anything from a fresh install of Knoppmyth R5.5. I have also installed this patch - http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=3966549 – which was a little bit of a desperate act to see if it fixes it. But it did not.

So has anyone seen this error and could suggest a fix? Or can anyone suggest a solution that I can try? If you need more info then let me know.

Thanks in advance for any help. And thanks to everyone that makes Knoppmyth so good.

Regards,
Robert.

I also had myth2ipod errors after a fresh install...but not that one. Sounds like a database error you can check the mythconverge db with mysqlcheck.. The myth2ipod script uses the timestamp to set the filename before the encode. Unfortunatley, the script continues on even though an error occured and no file for further processing with nuvexport or mp4box is present. Hence, the RSS feed has the listing but no file.

Hello,
Already ran all the database checks and still a no go. I did do a backup and check the database and it seems ok eg chanid is there etc. It is like the Myth2ipod script has an error when passing the chanid info. ??? I have used nuveport on its own and it works so it seem there is an issue with the myth2ipod script in passing the chanid info. I am not a perl person as i would mod the script to see what is going on. Might have to learn fast. :)
I am interested to see if other poeple are having myth2ipod issues as this is pretty much a fresh install.
Anyway thanks for the suggestion.

Regards,
Robert.
