I have had some experience with Mythbuntu and am now trying KnoppMyth.

I'm having some trouble which I'll detail in another topic. But my installation to an empty hard drive left me wondering if I've left out some necessary steps.

The pamphlet says in the post installation section:
Quote:
At this point, select which package you'd like to install i586 (Pentium class processors, K6, C3, etc.) or I686 (PentiumPro class processors, PentiumPro and above, Athlon and Duron). The default is i586 which is compiled w/ LIRC. If you have an i686 class processor, select i686 then LIRC.

My installation didn't ask about i586 or i686. Should it have? The installation then went on to start various myth setup questions.

Gidday Bob. Have a look at these:

http://www.better-access.com/KM/Install.odt (588KB)

http://www.better-access.com/KM/Useful-Mythtv-docs.odt (1.4MB)

If you don't have a system near the Aus dragon, you can still get all the epg stuff by installing with "country-au"

All feedback appreciated.

Mike
