LinHES 6.0 and i586, vdpau

Post subject:  LinHES 6.0 and i586, vdpau
For an extra frontend connecting to mythbuntu backend with 0.21-fixes, I am thinking of installing LinHES on a M9000 via mini-itx board which I seem to recall needs to have software compiled for i586 rather than i686. Does LinHES work on i586?

Secondly I contemplate putting a PCI 8400GS card in the machine and replacing LinHES's mythtv with mythtv-vdpau per http://linhes.org/flyspray/index.php?do ... ask_id=243. However I want to check - is mythtv-vdpau based on 0.21-fixes with the backported vdpau patches, or is it based on trunk?

hmm I am wondering whether I should have put my questions in "Hardware" but won't repost it there as that would break another rule :)

Does anyone know the answers?

You can try, but it's not supported. I don't know if it will be in the future, but for now, no.

0.21-fixes with vdpau patches.
