I think this is an installation question. I used Knoppmyth for several years. Recently I wanted to setup a RAID system for storage of the recordings and video. I also wanted to have access to a full web browser. So I tried another distribution. It works, but I am having major problems with LIRCD. It too works, but seems to slow down after a day or two and I have to kill it and restart it. So my installation question is does R6 support a software RAID 5 array? What about a RAID 1 for root? How hard is it to setup such a system: Root - RAID 1 Storage - RAID 5 Thanks, BTW, this user forum is another MAJOR reason, I would switch back! |
