I have a working copy of R5.5. When I boot from the CD, everything appears fine until the install script attempts to check MySQL. Once the script gets that far, the CD stops spinning and then eventually (about 15 minutes later) loads X. I can select English but I can not get further. If I press Ctrl-Alt-F1, the screen is full of: Stopping MySQL [DONE] Starting MySQL [DONE] then at the bottom of the screen is says: Could not start mysql or install mythconverg within 20 attempts Aborting install Has anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions on how to get past this screen and install LinHES? BTW, I have an ASUS A8N-SLI Premium motherboard with SATA HDD and SATA CD. Thanks for your help. |

I am installing LinHes 6.01, hence the title of the thread and also why I ask how I can get past the screen and install LinHES. |
