Hi there.

After installation starts, my monitor will flicker. First it all seems okay: Hardware detection etc. is okay (and yes: Audio is in :) ), but it looks like my Monitor can't handle the V-frequency (?). I see a "running picture", first the "KnoppMyth" sign and then the big "X"-Cursor with gray background. After a while the CD stop and nothing happens... I spent about 5 minutes staring at the flickering screen, hoping the best for my poor CRT, and then turn power off. :(
I tried to change the resolution but this had no effect.

Tech details:
ASRock P4I45D, BIOS 2.30 (10/06/03), Celeron 1,8 GHz, 256 MB SDRAM, ATI Mach64 PCI Graphic-Card (2 MB, i think)

Okay, tonight I'll try to change the gra-ca and then start installation in text-mode

Think I found the solution! -> RTFM! :oops:
Will try the "alsa 800*600"-option later.

Hi cesman.

Stopped flicker by changing the graphic-adapter. It seems that a 2MB PCI-Card ist not the right thing for the install proc, I've got a lot of X86-errors.
Now I use a 16MB AGP and these problems are gone.
Do you have any infos about the "at least" RAM size and/or bus-types from graphic-cards working with KnoppMyth?
