Hi,

I've spent many hours to try many configuration with Knoppmyth trying to intall it without sccess!
After providing the different information (Time zone, user password and root pwd) the system starts copying the files and hangs at 2% and freeze completely. The hit on ctrl + Alt + F2 didn't respond.

I've also tried with the R5A15 but I've obtained the same result. Trying also with different starting options like konppmyth atapicd alsa nodma but nothing change.

I've intalled before the Fedora Core 1 on the same configuration and everything was working excepting the sound card SB Live 24bit.

This is my configuration :

Motherboard : ASUS CUSL2-C
CPU : P3 1Ghz
HD 1 : Maxtor 20GB / HD 2 : Hitachi 160GB
Sound card : SB Live 24 bit
Video Card : TNT 32 MB
TV Card : Pinnacle PCTV
NIC : 100Mbps RTL8139D
RAM : 512MB Kingston

I've tried to install with another motherboard and CPU (P266Mhz) and everything was OK! I can't explain why my first motherboard work fine with Fedora Core and not with knoppmythtv!

The reason they are different is that they are different Linux distributions. KnoppMyth is based on Debian, so a totally different kettle of fish (different implementation).

Whilst your FC worked fine as this is designed on a very broad bases, where as KnoppMyth is targeted at a particular job, thus does not support everything (out of the box).
