I have the PVR-350, I just upgraded from R4 to R4V2 and no longer have the grey remote working anymore. I run irw and can see my key presses being caught by the sensor no problem. lircd is running and the startup log file looks ok in /var/log Any suggestions? Thanks, |

Perhaps you didn't install the debian package with native LIRC? As root install-i686-l. |

Yep that worked, thanks! Any idea on how to keep my volumes un-muted after rebooting? Currently I have to go into alsamixer and un-mute them after each reboot. Thanks, |

Thanks, Use alsactl store and restore the settings. After you have set the volume as you expect in alsamixer, use alsactl store to save those settings. From then on those settings should be loaded when you reboot. I don't know what source you will have to set up for APT to install that, as it is not installed on my R4 system. If it is installed in R4V2 you should need to do that once as root, and you should be done with it. Good luck. -Rusty |
