So I found some example XF86Config-4.* files in the /etc/X11 directory. For example, there was one XF86Config-4.pvr350-example file, and another XF86Config-4.nvidia-tvout-example file (names are probably slightly different as this is what I remember). I copied the example nvidia to XF86Config-4 and restarted and then I finally had TV-OUT via my built in video card's svideo connector. Next day I restart (after installing my newly arrived pvr-350 - had no capture card previously) , and it goes back to my monitor. Now the example files are gone...what the? Any ideas how these appeared in my /etc/X11 directory and where they could have possibly gone after a simple reboot? I did install the pvr-350 card in the system between boots, though, not sure if this had something to do with it. There were 4 or 5 example XF86Config-4* files in there at one time. Help ! |

I don't know about 4 or 5... I placed the two .350 and .nvidia there. Are you certain you didn't delete them?! |

I'm pretty sure I didn't delete them. I got them off another computer that had mythtv (working with a friend .. we are both building one). I'll check into this again and post if I figure anything out. |
