| Post subject: | PCChips/ VIA Chipset on M925 Series boards gives trouble |
The M925 series boards from PC Chips, the ALSA doesn't work no matter what on R4V2. Although it worked on Jarod's Guide. The VIA Chipset causes DMA problems reported from ivtv hanging the backend server. This happend on both Knoppix and Fedora Core, and has been mentioned before here and other places. 
I got me a MSI Intel based board with Sis chips, those work fine for the time being... At least Audio and Video worked great from teh get go on PVR-250 system. |
