I tried following Silk's driver install how-to, but I'm still having some trouble getting my G400 to work. I downloaded the latest drivers (4.0 beta) from the Matrox website. When I run install.sh, it tells me this:

and it looks like the matroxfb* commands are not installed. Does anyone have a guess as to what's going wrong? I'm running Knoppmyth R4V5.

well I haven't messed with matrox in a long time. Great cards particularly for linux, but my G200 is just way too old now, but I went and looked up the latest drivers on thier site, and I come up with 4.1 no beta. so not sure where you are talking about downloading the "latest" driver.

Whoops! I just followed the link in Silk's how-to post. Should have navigated to the latest drivers myself. The card is so old that I never suspected they'd still be putting out new drivers. I'll give the 4.1 drivers a shot. Thanks for taking the time to slap me around.
