tested how.. does mode 2 work? or is myth working on the remote?



i have no idea what it is.. but i just leave the default.. which i THINK is off.. whatever it is.. leave it Default.



why are you running irw? i never use it.. so unless you have a reason to use it, your barking up the wrong tree

I tested the reciver by connecting a led to the output on the reciver when I press a button on the remote it blinks, also will test it with an osiloscope, im betting it will have thes same effect.

So far I havent found much info on mode2 - is it just a terminal?

"Igor Cesko's variation" - It is a USB reciver variation that is built on a Atmel processor, looks pretty advanced and you haveto load software to it jusing Jtag.

Ok well i figured out mode 2, it works gives me pulse # and space #, I guess Ill haveto mess with the config files. - Thanks

better late then never... in case you havnt figured it out.. mode 2 will let you see your keypresses... so it tells your if you receiver is working.. next lirc has to do something with that info (assuming the remote signal matches the lirc.conf)

ill tell you honestly lirc is too much of a pain to mess with anmore for me.. I am buying a wireless keyboard and a learning remote..

use the learning remote to memorize the keyboard output..bam no software or random failures... life will be good... LIRC does work fine.. just not woth playing with.

Let me know if wireless keyboad and universl remote works for you. I can't get lircd to work.
