I looked around on google but was unable to find the answer to this question - hope I haven't missed the answer elsewhere.

KnoppMyth set up fairly easily but no matter how I play with the audio settings everything it records has a low audio level.

Has anyone else run into this or found a fix for it?

not sure there is even close to enough data in that question.. for example card? are you using a patch cable for audio? also does the aumix pcm (etc) have any effect? is the volume low in mythmusic, or mythvideo?

You managed to solve the problem anyaway - the pcm volume was too low.

Running aumix right after boot shows everything at 0, guess I'll have to put a command in that will run at boot to reload audio setttings.

The card is a wintv card with the bt878 chipset, I had mythtv running on a mandrake install but it wasn't running very smoothly.
