Yesterday I upgraded R4V5 to R5A12 when I restarted and reinstalled the samba client form the default apt source, and attempted to mount a share I recieved:

root@teavogue:/home/twitch# mount -t smbfs //192.168.42.2/share /mnt/test
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on //192.168.42.2/share,
or too many mounted file systems
root@teavogue:/home/twitch# mount //192.168.42.2/share /mnt/test
mount: fs type smb not supported by kernel

and modprobe smbfs loads the smbfs module fine, it just doesn't appear to see the filesystem correctly.

anyone else had this problem?
any help would be apprieciated.
