Just wondering if I'm missing anything...

When you pause live tv and change channels is there anyway to get back to the paused video?

We had this happen tonight when someone accidently changed channels on a movie.

Thanks.

If you only have one tuner card in your box then I suspect not. When you change channels Myth dumps the buffer of the previous channel and loads a new buffer for the current channel. There is no going back.

I'm not 100% sure what will happen if you have multple tuners (i.e. will Myth intelligently switch to another tuner if you're paused on one or will it just dump the buffer). I suspect it will dump the buffer for the current tuner unless you manually switch to another tuner before changing channels.

current version of mythtv changed channel = all buffer data gone. The newest svn versions have new livetv code that actually uses recordings instead of a ringbuffer to assist with this problem.
