I have my PVR-350 card setup with S-Video input and it works fine. I got a 4 port irblaster for irblaster.com and have it hooked up. I can change channels with the channel_change.sh 501 script just fine but when I try to change channels when in Watch TV it doesn't change the channel. Is there something else I have to do besides running the irblaster.sh script.

Thanks for the help.

You need to go into mythtv-setup, Input and find your card input that you are using. There is a field called "External Channel change command". Put change_channel.sh there. Then restart the frontend (or box if you want).

great that did it. just have to put the fully path in /etc/irblaster/channel_change.sh.

Thanks again.

I'm having a similar problem, but entering the path to the channel change script in the setup isn't fixing it. I've just done an auto-upgrade which failed to preserve my previously-working irblaster-to-SA3100 setup, but after putting things back together I can change channels from a shell by running the channel_change.sh script directly (channel changes on the cable box perfectly), but when mythtv executes it (via live tv or when initiating a recording), the cable box gets what looks like about 6 numbers, none of which seem to have much to do with the channel number I asked for.

Anybody have a clue?

Ah, thankfully the problem is solved. Apparently it's not a good idea to 'scan for channels' under these circumstances... As described in the thread below, I deleted my video sources, re-created them, DID_NOT scan for channels, downloaded channels from listing source, and whala, irblaster control of the cable box now works from the frontend...
