I've been attempting to tweak the brightness/color/etc. on my new PVR-350 w/ TV-out setup, but have been stumped. I've enabled the XV controls in MythTV, and when I'm watching "live" TV, I can get the Adjust Picture menus to come up (either by using the remote or pressing "F" on the keyboard), but I can't adjust them. They simply display on the screen--I've tried the left/right/up/down cursor keys and pretty much everything else, but the levels don't budge!

Searching the forum, I understand that TwinView can cause problems with this, but I never enabled/set that up--there's nothing on the monitor, just on the TV screen, so TwinView isn't running, right? XV is enabled, and shouldn't this be supported by the 350 card? Or does the video card in the computer need to support XV as well, even though I'm not using it for any output?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Why are you talking about Twinview? That is for nvidia video cards. The pvr-350 is not an nvidia card at all.

You can not use xv controls to change the output of the pvr-350's mpeg playback. The card uses a hardware decoder to play the stream. A piece of software can't modify the picture comming from the hardware decoder.

Okay, that makes a lot more sense now. So, is there anyway to fine tune/adjust/tweak the output from my 350? The quality is good...but not great (not as bright or crisp as straight-from-cable-to-TV).

Sorry that I'm not too familiar with Twinview, etc.; I've been doing a lot of trolling and trying to put together the bits and pieces I pick up. I hope to put something on the wiki or in the tips/how to section when I figure out how to adjust the output of the 350, if it is at all possible.

Thanks again.
