Well, I've been playing with my mythbox for about a week now and it's great. The only problem I'm having right now is I'm missing a couple of channels. When I first setup myth, I just had it pull all the channel information from Zap2it. Which was great, except my cable provider switched a couple channels and added the history channel and Zap2it doesn't show this change. I've tried stopping the mythbackend and running the setup again to scan for channels, but it really messed my program guide up. I restored my backup and fixed it though.

Is there an easy way to add channels that Zap2it doesn't know about without scanning? I've figured out how to change the xmltv settings with mythweb so getting the names with the numbers is no big deal.

Thanks!

You can hack them into the channel guide or merge multiple guides. Search for an old posting by me that mentions update_database.sh which is a script I used to need to merge data from a couple sources... Beware that it may need to be updated to match the current mythconverg schema.
