I timed nearly 10 seconds to change the channel on my system, which makes channel surfing impossible of course

Is it possible to turn off the pre-buffering, so it doesn't take any time to buffer the new channel before it changes? I have changed my change-channel-lirc.sh to use 0.3 delay instead of 1, between keystrokes.

Any other advice on hwo to speed up channel changing?

thx!

No, it's not possible. I recommend using the program guide or browse mode instead.
