I'm trying to make some changes in the Music menu.

I have 10 gig of music and when it's all loaded in the playlist, it takes forever to scroll through to choose a particular song.

What I am wondering is if there is a way to add a page up\down using the channel +\- button on a Hauppauge A415-HPG remote.

Note, I would also like to do the same in the video section for browsing videos.

I can't seem to find anything in the forums that relate to this.

thanks

Since there is no distinction between the mythtv components in ~/.mythtv/lircrc to the best of my knowledge, this would involve remapping the up and down arrows in the keybindings for MythMusic, however, since the arrows are already used for making single step movements through the list, you would lose that navigation capability.

Actually given the silver remote (big on both ends, small in the middle - my theory about the silver remote) you've got multiple "arrows" so you can do something like map Ch+ and Ch- to PgUp and PgDown respectively (set the config= in lircrc to those names instead of "Up" and "Down"). Although this would mean other changes to the MythTV key bindings if you continue to expect those buttons to work for channel adjustments...

There is LOTS of information about doing stuff like this in the forums if you use the right search terms.
