Your suggestion worked!! Thank you. In fact, the call sign for each channel is working on this smal HDD (unlike the large HDD). Maybe I should repeat this process again on the large HDD.

Glad to see you got it working. I too should have read your initial post more closely regarding the scan channels....

Just one suggestion, I strongly recommned never running mythfilldatabase as root. It should always be run as the mythtv user.

Running it as root can cause ownership problems with various files which make it impossible for mythtv to run it automatically later, and debugging that is a major hassle.
