Post subject:  How to correct aspect ratio on imported HD Mpegs

I've moved some of my HD recordings from my Myth box across my network and on to a drive in a Windows box. Recently I wanted to view one of my archived 16x9 HD Mpeg 2 shows, so I sent the file back across my network to the 'videos' folder in my Myth box. When I attempted to play the file, the image was normal width but only was half the height of a normal 16x9 -- so everyone was short and wide -- the aspect ratio looked more like 16x5. I can't find any keyboard short cut which will allow me to change aspect ratios from imported videos, but can hit the W key to change the aspect ratios on playback of shows which were recorded, stored, and played back on my Myth box. Can anyone help give me some direction?

Thanks!

Kent

Post subject:  Answer found on another forum! -monitoraspect switch

It was the -monitoraspect switch. I changed it and imported video now has correct height.

Code:
mplayer -fs -zoom -monitoraspect 16:9 -vo xv %s
