Post subject:  Database location?

I thrashed my system trying to install x11vnc. I placed a new drive in the system and installed R5C7 on it and then copied the recordings to the new drive. I need to copy the database over so they are listed in Myth, where is the location of the database? Are there separate databases for channel guide, recordings, etc or is it all in one?

I wanted to back up the recordings onto a USB drive, but found that debian does not allow writing to NTFS drives.

Thanks.

Hi,

Maybe try with vfat, maybe not efficent or could be file size limits but is an option?
Format it as an ext3 as per the pamphlet then it should be good :)
Or stick the drive a M$ box and pull accross with samba

Thanks cesman, copied over the *recorded*.* db files and they show up. They aren't in catagories though, which is ok.

mjl, thanks... vfat works with my usb pen drive, XP won't allow formatting to vfat, only NTFS. I tried mkfs with vfat and it complained about not having mkfs.vfs. However I found a possible solution using ext2/3 on drive and use a freeware driver on XP to access the ext2/3 drive: http://www.fs-driver.org/
