Last night I had a perfectly working system, but when I started the computer this morning the computer boots ok, and logs into Fluxbox as user mythtv but mythtv does not start.

The hotkeys alt+s and alt+m are not functional.

Except for mythtv, everything else seems to work just fine!

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot?

alt-x for a terminal
type 'mythfrontend'

Does myth start then? If not what does it say?

I ended up doing the auto upgrade, which had the positive side effect that I at last have a working remote!
