how do i mount a usb flash drive in R4V2, i've tried using the traditional mount -t auto /dev/sda1 /mnt/usb but that give me an invalid block device error. I have the drivers loading on startup. My motherboard is an ASUS A7V333-X This is the output of my /var/log/messages

those are the usb drivers, but you have to have the usb mass storage drivers loaded before you plug the device in then you can use the command you mentioned.

easiest way to get these to load is to run modconf as root, and then scroll down to the kernel/driver/usb/storage and enter then enter on the usb storage driver. It should tell you it loaded successfully. Then you can run the command you mentioned previously, and it should mount. Also this should make the mass storage driver load on boot from then on out.

If doing what is listed here does not work, what else must I do to get a USB Drive recognized?

I still get the block device error following exactly the instructions below.

Any tips?

The issue should be fixed in the R5A15.1 release. I had problems with some of my USB sticks with R5A15 that were fixed with the move to R5A15.1
