I have just completed an upgrade installation of R5C7, and I have followed the last 4 steps in CompileIvtv in the wiki, but when I choose "Watch TV", I get a black screen.

The last messages are repeated over and over again until I Ctrl+C. (I have only let them go for about 10 seconds.)

Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Everything else works fine- I can even watch old recordings.

Is it a good idea to install a new version of ivtv from source?
My cards (two Hauppauge PVR-150s) are being detected properly and I can cat /dev/video(0 or 1) > /mythtv/test.mpg and play it back with no troubles.

Oh! It was because I had not set up any recording profiles.
