When I naviagate to the "Watch Recording" option in MythTV, MythTV indicates that I have plenty of programs to watch (by category breakdown). But when I go to the listing of the programs, MythTV says I have no reordings.

I have been using Knoppmyth for 4 months, and this has never been a problem except in the last couple of days. Any ideas?

Make sure that you don't have a filter set.
If the backend quits, and you go into that screen and your thumb is on auto-pilot, it's easy to click on "nothing", which brings up a dialog where it's (too) easy to set a viewing filter. In my case, all I could see were Dramas or something. Most of my recordings were missing! I almost freaked.

If this isn't it, you may have a corrupt database, or things got deleted from the database somehow. Look in /myth/tv and see if there ARE any recordings present. There's a writeup here on recovering those files and re-listing them in the database.

I have also had a similar experience when my / partition filled up from a runaway mysql.log. Try running 'df' from the command line to check disk system status.

One more question... My hda1 file system has filled up. To give myself some room, what files should I be looking at removing?

Search for "log rollover" for a simple fix. There's a slight glitch in the setup for log rolling under R5C7 which can make your disk fill up. The usual culprit is "/var/log/mysql/mysql.log". You can truncate that file, but hte problem will reoccur if you don't apply the fix.
