I have a strange problem.

Fresh install today of R5D1.

Everything appears to be working normally, except that my listings are 3 hours offset (shows that should be listed at 4PM are showing at 7PM).

If I got to www.tvlistings.com from Zap2It and input my postal code, I get the listings and they are correct 4PM shows at 4PM. I looked in the database and there is no time offset specified. I'm unsure if I am getting bad data from Zap2It or there is some time offset hiding somewhere that I can't find.

I'm running ntp and my clock is accurate and synched with the internet.

Any thoughts?

Well that was interesting... as I wrote that it occured to me that perhaps my timezone wasn't configrued. Then I realize the install never asked me for a timezone. Sure enough, I ran tzconfig and it said I was set to UTC. I'm three hours off UTC here. I set it to my correct timezone, erased the program listings and re-ran mythfilldatabase. All is now well.

Is it normal for the installer to not ask for the local timezone now?

-Jeff

I had this exact same problem, but don't kill me because I can't remember how I fixed it. I think I had to set the system Timezone correctly. If not, search to see if MythTV is setting it's own timezone. I did fix it, but later I did a reinstall and set the timezone during the configuration wizard and never had the problem again.

Nope, it really should ask for the TZ first thing in the Phase 2 setup. Your install CD maybe bad...

OBTW here is where to find the appropriate troubleshooting procedure on the wiki: http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=ProgramGuideIsOff

Now I have the same problem. Just the same night I posted my original message I was working on my MythTV server and noticed that the BIOS time was off, so I corrected it. Now when I'm looking at the Program Guide it's off X number of hours that I corrected the time for. Crap! But even stranger, when I'm watching LiveTV and go into Browse Mode the correct guide information is showing, but when I press 'I' for information, the wrong information guide is showing.

It looks like I'm going to have to follow the wiki fix for this posted earlier.
