| Post subject: | Watch recordings list blank |
When I naviagate to the "Watch Recording" option in MythTV, MythTV indicates that I have plenty of programs to watch (by category breakdown). But when I go to the listing of the programs, MythTV says I have no reordings. I have been using Knoppmyth for 4 months, and this has never been a problem except in the last couple of days. Any ideas? |

Make sure that you don't have a filter set. If the backend quits, and you go into that screen and your thumb is on auto-pilot, it's easy to click on "nothing", which brings up a dialog where it's (too) easy to set a viewing filter. In my case, all I could see were Dramas or something. Most of my recordings were missing! I almost freaked. If this isn't it, you may have a corrupt database, or things got deleted from the database somehow. Look in /myth/tv and see if there ARE any recordings present. There's a writeup here on recovering those files and re-listing them in the database. |

I have also had a similar experience when my / partition filled up from a runaway mysql.log. Try running 'df' from the command line to check disk system status. |

nickread... yo uhave found my issue. One more question... My hda1 file system has filled up. To give myself some room, what files should I be looking at removing? |

Search for "log rollover" for a simple fix. There's a slight glitch in the setup for log rolling under R5C7 which can make your disk fill up. The usual culprit is "/var/log/mysql/mysql.log". You can truncate that file, but hte problem will reoccur if you don't apply the fix. |
