My question is if there is a proper way to totally remove default lirc isntallation so that one can compile lirc from scratch. I tested the remote and serial ir receiver with another linux distro and it works.
in the knoppmyth r5c7 install process I chose pinnacle remote and yes to ir blaster -com2 - i'll install on my own and it doesn't work.
I think that i can't convice lirc that I have the ir receiver on com2
i tried
apt-get remove lirc
and new installation of lirc with pinnacle selection on com2
but i get an error can't reset tty or something.
any help plz?
