Hi, Anyone done this yet? I've sttempted it several times from svn, and tonight from the official release, and keep getting compile errors (source is mythtv, which I'm compiling first). /usr/lib/libc_nonshared.a(atexit.oS)(.text.__i686.get_pc_thunk.bx+0x0): In function `__i686.get_pc_thunk.bx': : multiple definition of `__i686.get_pc_thunk.bx' /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-linux/3.3.5/crtbeginS.o(.gnu.linkonce.t.__i686.get_pc_thunk.bx+0x0): first defined here collect2: ld returned 1 exit status distcc[15247] ERROR: compile (null) on localhost failed make[2]: *** [libmyth-0.20.so.0.20.0] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/mike/mythtv-0.20/libs/libmyth' make[1]: *** [sub-libmyth] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/mike/mythtv-0.20/libs' make: *** [sub-libs] Error 2 Anyone? Hate to answer my own question, but... install the gcc version which compiled your kernel. For R5C7, I typed: sudo apt-get install gcc3.3, then recompiled, and it easily got me past that problem (it's still going). Looks like it may just work. Mike |
