Hi all,

I have been messing with this for about a week now. I have recorded a few shows here and there for testing.

The last time I recorded a 30min show, it was about 1.5 GB. I just recorded another one today that was 30mins and it was 11 GB.

What did I change that would cause this?

FYI, I have been messing around with the transcoding and commercial flag options. Funny thing is that the 1.5 GB show had the flags but the 11 GB did not.

So, the question here is, what did I change to make the recording so big, and yet not be flagged for commercials?

I have been back and forth with the setup so many times, I lost track of what i have changed....lol

thanks for any help here.

Sounds like you got the wrong transcoding profile. There are directions around here somewhere for setting up lossless transcoding if you sarch. If ypou don't have any luck finding them, see the MythTV documentaion which also covers this. http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Us ... Recordings
