I need to recompile a newer version of the R5D1 kernel. I've a very new asus mycinema p7131h hybrid (1043:4876 revision) tv card, that needs recompilation of kernel and dvb stuff... in my case, i need it to load firmware from file (not eprom) and a patch for the remote controller...

but i think we need more...
first: r5d1 2.6.17 kernel is a patched one (chw-8 ), so we need instructions on how to UNpatch it, THEN patch it to version 2.6.18, and THEN again REpatch against chw-8 or later... and eventually, other patches you applied to standard kernel tree... and we need the .config used, too, to rebuild a kernel as much similar to the one shipped with r5d1... and how to recompile dvb stuff (mercurial??? wtf...)
and of course extended compilation instructions, in case those on the previous links are too old or not exact...
