| Post subject: | Network Remote Control |
Hi I'm new to KnoppMyth but not to Linux. I got my KnoppMyth box installed and ready to go and I wanted to try the "Network Remote Control". I went through setup and checked the box and left the port at 6545. I hit next a few times followed by finish and returned to the main menu. I then switched to another tty and did a "netstat -an | grep LIST" but nothing seems to be listening on port 6545 
What gives? Any suggestions? |

Got It! FYI - Have to restart mythfrontend. |

What did you do to get the network remote control to run? |

In R5D1 it has to be enabled in: Utilities/Setup > Setup > General - 4th screen "Enable Network Remote Control interface" Restart the frontend, then to use: telnet (mythtv or ip) 6546 |
