Hello, All,

I'm trying to implement a frontend/backend setup for the first time, and I'm running into some issues.

Before I attempt to run some mysql commands to update my mythconverg database to (hopefully) accept requests from nonlocal machines, I'd like to have some kind of backup of the mythconverg database.

My question, then: if I run the Backup command from the KnoppyMyth menu, does this make a complete backup of the database as of that time/date?

Further, if I corrupt/damage the database, can I simply use the KnoppMyth restore feature to return it to the previous copy? Or does it not work quite that way?

Thanks in advance for any details!

Yes, the backup is a point in time backup of the database exactly at that time/date.

I believe the backup copies your db into a compressed archive. Using the restore option should replace your current db with the data in the archive.

Perfect! That's all I wanted to verify.

Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving!
