Post subject: | Recording format |
I've just upgraded to R5D1 and noticed a change in behaviour I can't quite figure out... I bought a PVR-350 years ago because it has the mpeg encoder on it, and it's worked great. You always knew you'd get a real mpeg-2 out of it which was very portable. However now with this new version of KnoppMyth, when I try and take a recording and play it under Windows Media Player as I always did, it simply doesn't work. No error, but it also doesn't play, I just get a blank screen and no audio, the track location goes for about 1 second and stops. If I pull it farther I get a brief sound burst but no video. Does anyone know ahy the auto-install from this version using a pvr-350 as the capture card might be doing this? What format it's actually no recording in and how to make it just record an mpeg-2 like it used to. I also noticed the file names are no longer .nuv files (which was fine, I just associated thost to WMP in Windows) but .mpg instead. I've looked through the settings table in mysql and transcode is set to 0, so it shouldn't be transcoding the files. Anyone know how to fix this behaviour? Thanks. |

Poop, spoke too soon. The closed captioning was comfusing WMP, why am I not surprised... Next task, figure out how to change the default JUMPFFWD back to 30 second instead of the 5 seconds it now defaults to. That's a lot of button pushing to skip through some commercials... ![]() |
