I was recently asked to start up a project a school district I work for. The Athletic Department wants a device that is an easy way to store and review their game videos. I instantly thought of my myth project at home and I thought that it would be a nice way of organizing all the videos. My question is how difficult is it to record from a DV camcorder. Could I use the firewire ports off the camera, our do I need to get some capture cards? How large of a file would a 1 hour game be and how much storage would I need? How would all the recordings receive names?
I know that this isn’t what myth was really intended to be, but any incite or direction would be appreciated. Maybe there is a magic “MythCam� module that I am unaware of and would be my solution. I have been trying to search the forums but the results fail, it appears to be in some sort of debug mode.
