I installed a second HD in my MBE this afternoon. I have an MBE and an SBE setup almost exactly like cesman's instructions for Linhes I added a SATA 320 then included the remaining IDE space under LVM. Everhting went together and it works fine. Now I have about 590G space for her stuff. Only 1 thing changed subsequent to this. Before: In Information Center > System Status > Machine Status > Disk statistics the display changed. Before the LVM I had mythtv; mythtv_sbe my two boxes and one set of listings for the drive space used/available. After: In the same location I know have Mythtv with a complete set of Space used and Space Available Then right below it I have mythtv_sbe with a nearly duplicate set of Drive stats. The only difference between the two displays is the minor differences in the encoder settings that changes the count of how many hours are available at that rate. Not sure how I might have done this. I have run LVM before when I had 1 box and I set that part up the same. Any additional info I can provide let me know. It isn't a major issue, I am just trying to determine why the change in the display. Thanks! |
