Post subject:  Solved! Trying to watch non-broadcasting channel locks dvb t
When someone in the family accidentally tunes in a channel that is not currently broadcasting, an error message is returned and it's not possible to switch channels with the ordinary keys. This situation effectively prevents further TV watching.

The only way out of this deadlock that I've found is to schedule a recording on a broadcasting channel from the program guide. That way, the tuner is retuned to a channel that works.

However, this solution is not scoring very well in the family/wife category. Anyone has a better solution? :idea:

I had this problem with R5A2x series, but 5D1 I found recovered gracefully with a dialog prompting to change channel.

Post subject:  Upgrading solved the problem
When upgrading from R5D1 to R5F1, the problem went away.

I now get a black picture, but it is possible to simply switch to another channel.
