Hi, I have just (finally) managed to get mplayer working for my videos by removing a bunch of the arguments from the command line to run mplayer from mythtv. However the playback is not very smooth. If i play my video through xine frames keep getting dropped and so i have been using mplayer. The situation isnt as bad as using xine but its not so good. The system i have built i fairly good - sempron 3400+, 512mb RAM, onboard graphics but my lame assed laptop can play my video files back a lot smoother than my knoppmyth system. Now i have tried to use the guide for updating mplayer on this forum but unfortunately all that does is stuff my system up entirely and i can no longer play videos. I know this is vague but can anyone offer any advice? |
