I am running R5D1 and I just ran my first backup and now it appears as if all my recordings are the wrong length. i.e. a 2 hour show when you play it, the time indicates that the show is 4 hours. the box worked flawless for about 3 months.

I am a newbie at this so I don't even know where to begin looking at the issue. Hope somebody has seen this before. . .

Thanks.

That's a weird one. The backup generally doesn't modify your DB, although it does run /usr/bin/myisamchk -f to make sure it's in good shape. You may want to see Cecil's DB repair sticky and see if anything questionable is going on.

I followed the sticky and it did not turn up any corruptions in the DB, but according to some other postings in that sticky I went ahead and ran
Code:
myisamchk -f -r *.MYI

A description of one of the symptoms is that because it sees a one hour show as being 12 hours long when you scan ahead at like 5x it make some pretty big jumps.

If it helps, it appears that any new recordings are behaving properly with the correct time/length.

Anybody know the table that store show lengths and how I would query it? -- just to see what it list for lengths assuming those are in the table.
